Our School
Vision Martial Arts Academy is a studio where you feel a part of the family. Everyone motivates and pushes each other to become the best version of themselves through Taekwondo. Through lots of sweating and smiling, students earn their growth as they are guided each day of training. We provide each student with a vision toward their personal development. Our adaptive curriculum allows us to adjust for all skill levels, disabilities, obstacles, and more. Whatever obstacles you are working to kick past, we are here to help!
History
We have been providing Taekwondo in Belleville since 2017. After operating under a different name for five years, we rebranded in 2022. We have a vision for every student and want to immerse ourselves in that mission. Everything we work toward follows the passion Master Manuel Nieves brings to training. Master Manuel Nieves began practicing Taekwondo as a young child and has accumulated 25+ years of Taekwondo experience, including over 10 years of teaching. Through his journey, he has immersed himself in martial arts, seeing how it has changed his life. He is dedicated to passing down everything he’s learned to his son and all his students at Vision Martial Arts Academy.

Instructor
Our studio is led by the passion of Master Manuel Nieves. The 5th Dan, Kukkiwon-Certified Master has trained in Taekwondo for most of his life. He’s witnessed how it has changed himself and those around him. To learn more about his experience, check out his bio below.

Programs
We have built our Taekwondo programs to have something for everyone. With programs for different age groups and specialized training for individuals with developmental disabilities, everyone can thrive. You can find the best program for you and your children and thrive!
Little Cubs Taekwondo (ages 3-4)
Taekwondo provides young children with a great foundation in life. We aim to help our Little Cubs build character, focus, confidence, and more. Our positive training environment is here for them on their good and bad days. It’s perfect to help them prepare for school and their development.
Kids Taekwondo (ages 5-12)
We place a heavy emphasis on helping children develop on and off the mat in Kids Taekwondo. Students are taught to work hard as they are taught leadership skills and the confidence to thrive. Bring them in to improve their self-defense skills, stress management, and more!
Teen and Adult Taekwondo (ages 13+)
Anyone can use Taekwondo to change their life. Students can dive into training in our Teen and Adult Taekwondo classes and work on their physical health, self-defense skills, and more through positive, detailed instruction.
Division of Developmental Disabilities
No matter any obstacles with size, age, disabilities, or anything else, our Division of Developmental Disabilities VMA Service is here for you. We tailor training to your needs to reach your full potential. We work with students to find solutions to whatever their circumstances are. These include adaptive drilling, weight training, cross-training, sensory drills, and more. Whatever students and parents are looking for, we can help! We offer one-on-one or group training – whatever works best for the student!
